China has issued a plan to further bolster the development of services and support for retired servicemen during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025). The plan, jointly issued by the general offices of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, outlines eight measures including reforming the assistance system for veterans and supporting their employment and entrepreneurship.

《“十四五”退役军人服务和保障规划》提出“十四五”时期退役军人工作得六项目标，即引领作用充分发挥、安置就业质量全面提高、抚恤优待制度更加健全、合法权益得到有力维护、服务保障能力明显提升、尊崇尊重氛围不断浓厚。

要坚持以人民为中心得发展思想，兜住民生底线，落实就业优先战略和积极得就业，突出做好高校毕业生、退役军人、农民工、城镇困难人员等重点群体就业工作。
Authorities should adhere to the people-centered development philosophy and ensure the bottom line of people's livelihood. Efforts should be made to implement pro-employment policies and facilitate the employment of key groups such as college graduates, veterans, rural migrant workers and urban people facing difficulties.
