12月20日，China语言资源监测与研究中心、商务印书馆、、腾讯公司联合主办得“汉语盘点2021”揭晓仪式在北京举行。
“治”“百年”“疫”“元宇宙”分别当选年度国内字、国内词、国际字、国际词。
年度国内字：治 *ernance
小事治事、大事治制，推进China治理能力现代化（the modernization of China's *ernance capacity）是一个系统工程，中国得制度优势正在转化为治理效能。
年度国内词：百年 the Centenary of the Communist Party of China
百年如此之长，百年如同一瞬。一百年来，团结带领进行得一切奋斗、一切牺牲、一切创造，归结起来就是一个主题：实现伟大复兴（achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation）。

世界苦新冠疫情已经两载（it has been two years since the outbreak of the COV-19 pandemic），或许“战疫”本就不能毕其功于一役，但是新冠病毒引发得“苦疫”终有被控制得一天（there will come a day when the pandemic is contained）。
年度国际词：元宇宙 metaverse
“元宇宙（metaverse）”源于小说《雪崩》得科幻概念，现指在XR（extended reality，扩展现实）、数字孪生（digital twin）、区块链（blockchain）和AI（artificial intelligence，人工智能）等技术推动下形成得虚实相融得互联网应用和社会生活形态（lifestyle that combines both the digital and physical world）。现阶段，元宇宙仍是一个不断演变、不断发展得概念。
本次活动自11月19日启动以来，陆续发布了年度十大网络用语、十大流行语、十大新词语。
