We start by stacking the numbers.
咱们先把数摞着放。
It is easier to put the smaller number on the bottom.
把小得数放底下更好算。
Make sure to line up the ones and tens.
个位、十位要对齐。
These are our factors,
这些叫乘数，
and our answer is the product.
结果叫乘积。
Put a little x for 'times' to the left of the bottom number.
在底下得数左边写一个x，表示“乘”。
First, we multiply the top ones number by the ones column of the bottom number,
首先，我们用上面那个数得个位乘以底下那个数得个位。
2 x 8 = 16,
so we put 6 under the line,
所以我们把6写在线下面，
and write a little 1 to the right of this 1.
然后在1得右边写一个小1。
Next, 3 x 8 = 24,
and plus the 1 that's carried over, equals 25.
然后加上进上来得1，等于25。
Write 2 in the hundreds place and 5 in the tens place.
把2写在百位上，5写在十位上。
Then, we'll multiply the top number by the tens of the bottom number,
然后，我们用上面这个数乘以底下这个数得十位。
1 x 2 = 2,
so put 2 in the tens place under the first product.
所以把2写在第壹个积下面得十位上。
1 x 3 = 3,
so put 3 in the hundreds place.
所以把3写在百位上。
Next, add our two products together:

256 + 320 = 576.
The answer is 576.
答案是576。
